South Africa and Mexico kick off the 2010 World Cup over in Africa this Friday 11th June. The first match from Group A will be much anticipated, simply to signify a full month of football mania. France and Uruguay round up the first day's match schedules.
I compiled this list of head to head results among the Group A contenders. Turned out that Mexico, Uruguay and France had played in the same group before. This was in England during the 1966 World Cup. Here are their head-to-head performances.
I expect plenty of goals from this group. Two former World Cup winners (France and Uruguay) and two unpredictable team (Mexico and South Africa) but managed by two very experienced coaches.
Could Uruguay and South Africa make it out of this group?
