CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009 Quarterfinal #3: Costa Rica 5-1 Guadeloupe

If the 1st day quarterfinals action were dreary but tense affairs, the second day of Gold Cup quarterfinal action turned out to be goal-fests.

Quarterfinal #3 pitted Guadeloupe against the unpredictable Costa Rica and the impact turned out be a magical five goal fest. Celso Borges scored with a spectacular bicycle kick in the third minute. Alvaro Saborio scored in the 16th and 71st minutes, running from deep positions to head home from Alvaro Alonso's cross in the first half and latching onto a long clearance from the back by Borges for his second goal.
