Honduras beats Grenada 4-0, advances in Gold Cup
FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts (AP) - Walter Martinez scored in just the second minute as Honduras went on to thrash Grenada 4-0 on Saturday and secure a berth in the CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals.
Honduras, which finished second in Group B to the United States, will play Group A winner Canada next Saturday in Philadelphia. The Americans will meet Jamaica or the third-place team in Group C.
Goals by Martinez and Roger Espinoza, both set up by Allan Lalin, gave Honduras a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Melvin Valladares scored in the 56th minute when he headed in a Martinez a corner past Grenada goalkeeper Andray Baptiste.
Carlos Costly sealed the win with a penalty in the 67th minute. Baptiste stopped the first shot with his upper body, but Costly easily knocked in the rebound.
Honduras reached the Gold Cup semifinals in 2005, losing to the United States, which went on to win the tournament. In the last Gold Cup in 2007, Honduras was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Guadeloupe, which advanced to this year's quarterfinals.
Grenada played in its first Gold Cup this year.
