The Brilliance Of Cesc Fabregas Steers Arsenal To The Premiership Summit

Cesc Fabregas has become the most important and influential part of Arsenal's season. Not only is he the Gunners' top scorer (11) and top assists (11), he is now to Arsenal what Steven Gerrard means to Liverpool - indispensable.

Eradicating the surliness and anger of last season, Cesc Fabregas have let his footballing abilities do the talking. There were three key matches that demonstrated the importance of Cesc Fabregas to Arsenal's Premiership title winning hopes.

1. Vision
In the 6-2 home win against Blackburn, Cesc Fabregas showed his excellent vision and creativity. His four assists and one goal must rank as one of his best ever performance in an Arsenal shirt. That volleyed goal was a reminder to every Arsenal fan that Fabregas is indeed a very special world class player.

2. Inspiration
Coming on as a substitute against Villa, Arsenal looked devoid of ideas to break down a good Villa defence. Fabregas came on and changed all that. His introduction inspired a 21-minute blitz in which Arsenal scored two goals. The last goal epitomises the power and accurate finishing of Fabregas.

3. Leadership
Bolton is never an easy place to go and collect three points. The Arsenal of old would never have made it out of the Reebok Stadium alive. This season, Arsenal seemed to be made of sterner stuff and no longer shrink under the stress of physicality. Clearly, that is a steely determination within the Arsenal ranks to not be intimidated by opposition who are physical. Fabregas led Arsenal through back-to-back Bolton games and made sure that getting six points was the focus. Two goals and one assist exemplified the effort and commitment by Fabregas to put Arsenal on top of the Premier League.

About his future after this season, Fabregas said,

"You can never say never, but I feel grateful, wanted, comfortable and important at Arsenal. Some people will never understand if I ever leave, but you have to feel comfortable with yourself.
"I’ve given my all for Arsenal. I’ve played when I’ve felt ill, and through injury. I even played in the Champions League a few hours after my grandfather died. I’m proud to be a part of this club, and I’ll always be proud of what I’ve done."

Cesc-y Fabregas makes Arsenal football great to watch! This is the best season for Arsenal to win the Premier League and Cesc Fabregas will do whatever it takes to make it happen.
