Arjen Robben once again proved that class remain permanent. The injury-prone winger/striker injected pace and a shoot-on-sight policy to help Bayern claim a slim one-goal lead in the Champions League semifinal at Allianz Arena.
There is a graphics representation of the Robben goal in the Malay Mail. It's hard to find these goal graphics nowadays and thus making this depiction of Robben's goal more valuable!
All in all, Bayern played well enough and their defence stayed strong, coping well against Lisandro Lopez. I believe that the German giants have already one foot in the final and should go all the way to win the Champions League this season.
With both home teams winning (Inter beat Barcelona), the long journey by bus or train has impacted the away team's preparations for sure. With the air traffic restriction still ongoing, Bayern and Inter have leads to defend and that could be the best motivation to keep the energy of the team going even if the bodies are not too willing.
Looking forward to two great semi final second legs!
