Fortress Upton Park Is The Final Piece Of Jigsaw To West Ham's Premiership Survival

As the crucial matches start coming thick and fast this month, Gianfranco Zola realises the need to rally the West Ham fans to get behind his young team. I had already touched on the 12th man effect in my previous post and am convinced that the Hammers will avoid relegation if the fans are in full voice, supporting the team.

Below is a table listing the average attendances at Premier League stadiums,

West Ham lie ninth, with a stadium fill rate of 94%. With such a good fill rate, we must be able to make any opposing team wither under pressure. As much as we want the players to rise to the challenge of ensuring survival, as fans, we have the responsibility to spur the players on. Therefore, lets get behind the boys and lift them to a great run of results.

Zola is right, fans getting behind the players will be crucial to ensure Premiership survival. Once we get all our players (Cole, Parker, Noble, Ilunga, Dyer and Hines) fit again, Zola will have a full squad to choose from, something he hardly could do this season. Building "Fortress Upton Park" then surely must be the final piece of the jigsaw towards ensuring Premier League status for next season.

Come on You Irons!
